This story changes everything I was taught as a child about Trolls, and the world that exists with them living in it. This book was a page turner that I could not put down, filled with romance, magic, and battle.

Shalini and her family are found moving from their homeland of India to America. She found herself lost and scared and somewhat shunned from her fellow High School classmates, while her sister finds a way to fit in and make friends easily. Her mother, did not approve of the move her husband forced her into and spent most of her time depressed and the family left terrified that she would never be herself ever again. Shalini, found herself making friends in the end and falling for a boy that reminded her of the God that she prays to, Krishna. But, her fiance, whom she had been engaged to since the age of 3, throws a surprise visit on her. This was a sad, but happy read that taught me about India and their way of life.
