Wendy was almost killed by whom she thought to be her mother when she was six years old. Eleven years later, she became drawn to a boy that always seemed to be watching her. Not after long from meeting him, he tells her the truth. She is a Princess from another world with powers that she cannot even begin to imagine. She leaves the family that she once knew and is thrust into another world, filled with magic and a Kingdom, that she is told she will one day rule over. This story changes everything I was taught as a child about Trolls, and the world that exists with them living in it. This book was a page turner that I could not put down, filled with romance, magic, and battle.

A girl, feeling alone, depressed and let down by those closest to her, prepares everyone that she was close to and had confided in, with cassette tapes explaing in her own words, 13 reasons why she committed suicide. She begins by providing tapes to someone left in charge to see to it that her message is carried on thru the delivery of a box containing nothing but her final words, recorded in her own voice, about why she decided that she was not meant to live in the world anymore and about the people that drove her to making that decision. Her high-school crush, who was too shy in the end to tell her how he felt about her, thinking that he maybe could have changed her mind about her taking her own life, finds out everything about her by receiving those tapes and listening to them in a day. He discovers the rumors that where visciously spread about her where un-true, that those that were "supposed" to be her true friends and the lies they spreaded, how girls were raped, pushed around and forced upon in physcial, and sexual manners by young men, still just boys, and unable to defend themselves against them, going un-punished for their actions. Girls, pretending to be straight A students and the mindset expected of them in that type of position, faslified, pretending to be someone they are not. How, a teacher could have prevented this girl's suicude from happening if he had only asked the right, simple questions by showing that he cared about her as a person. Her legacy and those of the students at her school that show everyone who their "fake" person is but reveals their "true" selves by hitting and killing someone that goes to their school after leaving a party, having been too drunk to drive, but decided no one could tell. How boys took advantage of young girls that were too drunk to put up a fight, behind closed doors, taking something from them that was'nt theirs to take, but did so without their permission while laying unconscious and their male counterparts allowing these atrocious acts to take place with their knowledge.

This was wonderful, dark, scarey, and so close to the truths of those in school growing from young kids into young adults.

The beginning of this book started out kinds of intresting. I loved the way the main police detective in the plot of this story had 10 adopted kids that he continued 2 care 4 & protect even after his wife, whose orginal decision 2 adopt these kids, passed away. The main story had 2 deal wit a psychotic control killer who was able 2 convince others 2 do his "dirty work" 4 him by going after rich & famous executives that ran businesses that dealt with taking money from the poor & spending it on themselves & their loved ones. So these "followers" decided 2 take the verdicts of the jury n2 their own hands & begin with a warning 2 these rich, fat, liars 2 put an end 2 their stealing & pushing the poor, unstable people that were asking them 4 the help that they had originally promised them n2 a more unstable life that eventually lead 2 thier deaths & the loss of loved ones. These killers planted bombs, set fires, & adminstered poison 2 the big-wigs of the rich & famous taking from them their lives & family 2 make their points proven.

After losing his daughter's innocence to two white men, that brutally raped and physically abused her, to the point she almost died. Her father decided that justice was not going to be served because of the state they lived in and how they were treated for being African American, he decided to take justice into his own hands and shot and killed both men that attacked his little girl. After being arrested, standing up to the KKK, and being exposed to the world, in this southern state, a lawyer comes to fight the court system and help this man find peace, for himself, his child, and his family. This novel made me cry, and stand tall for justice to be given where it was rightfully needed. This was a great court room drama, with my worst fears for my child was put on trial.
