Star of the girl's volleyball team in her high school, worshipped and loved by everyone in the school, guarenteed winner for any type of beauty/social school event, and voted most popular girl in school has a secret...one that devastates her little sister and their family. After she is diganosed with osteocarcenoma (a form of aggressive bone cancer) this high school girl's hopes and dreams are shattered when she has to go through all the changes that are forced upon her with no choice by having rounds of chemotherapy treatments. Known for having the most beauitful long, flowing hair and winning smile, both of her prized possesions are taken from her with no choice. Also, after going through all the procedures to try and save herself from losing her best trophy, her leg is taken too.

The mother begins trying to find solace in shopping and in her best attempts at turning her youngest daighter into the "other daughter" by making her act, dress, and socialize as her sister once did as Queen of the school. The father, spends more time "working" than home with his "girls" to avoid having to address the situtation that is falling apart around the seams. The young sister, feeling her sister's pain at everything she is losing, and everything that she is dealing with emotionally, physically, and mentally only wants the best for her sister and the rest of her family. But, still she wishes for success as an artist, on the honor roll, and to be able to just be invisable once again, will never be able to escape what has been thrust upon her now.
